The big contest day came and went with great success for both bands
Dungarvan Training Band, conducted by Shauna McCullagh, came 1st in the Junior Section of the South of Ireland Band Championships. Shauna also won most promising conductor. It's a great achievement for the band, especially as they were so much younger than the other bands present.
Dungarvan Brass Band, conducted by Liam Daly came 2nd in the Intermediate Section. Another great result, and to add to it, the band also won the Best Brass Section Award (Cornet Section.)
Well done to all involved!
